MUDDY BOOTS MONDAY
CHALLENGE
Muddyboots Monday is a simple invitation to get outside and move, in whatever way feels right for you. While it carries the name Monday — as a way of setting the week off gently — you’re welcome to post your Muddyboots moments any day you feel free. Monday is just shorthand for let’s start differently.
There’s no route to follow, no distance to cover, and no right kind of walk. Put on your boots — or whatever you’ve got to hand — trainers, sandals, wellies, or even bare feet in warmer places… and spend a little time somewhere that helps you feel calmer, steadier, or more like yourself.
It might be a beach, a river path, a park, a field, a pavement, or a bench you return to again and again. Walk for five minutes or fifty. Sit if you need to. Standing still counts too.
If you’d like to take part, we invite you to, go outside when you can, take a photograph of where you are, share it on the Explore & Chill Muddyboots Monday page, add one or two words about why this place helps you “quiet”, “space”, “air”, “perspective”, “movement”, “grounding”)
If you use what3words, you’re welcome to include your three-word location so others can find similar places near them.
If you are sitting on a bench we are working with the team at The Bench Project. They have 100,000s of benches identified across the UK. So if you are sitting on a bench see if yours is listed. If not add it if you have the time. Us this link to find the app on IOS or Google 👇
Muddyboots Monday isn’t about exercise or achievement. It’s about creating a place you can return to during the week, and reminding yourself that calm doesn’t need planning or permission.
Put something on your feet — or nothing at all — and step outside.
