This Moment
Come and watch. Join us in small, daily moments of self-care.
Some days it’s a walk in spring light, winter frost, snow, rain, or autumn colour. Some days it’s a sunrise, a sunset, or simply sitting on a bench with a cup of coffee and a quiet pause.
Each day we share what we’ve been up to — live when we can, recorded when we can’t. You’re welcome to join in, or just watch in your own time. And if something here inspires you, you can always choose to step a little closer and join us.
Our Story
Explore & Chill with A Little Bit of English is something we built for people who spend their lives supporting others — carers, parents, partners, professionals — and slowly forget to take care of themselves.
We built it after more than 35 years of caring for others, and learning — later than we would have liked — that small, daily self-care is what keeps you going.
It’s not about fixing anything or adding more pressure. It’s about helping people practise small, daily self-care in ways that actually fit real life — and about doing that alongside others who understand the weight you’re carrying.
We do that through quiet walks, calming videos, shared live moments, and simple creative or mindful practices — things you can drop into for ten or twenty minutes a day. These include hands-on activities through our Wellness Boxes, which you can subscribe to yourself or send to someone you care about, as a gentle way of saying, I’m thinking of you.
A Little Bit of English is just gentle language woven in — not teaching, just reassuring words that help tired minds settle.
Over time, those small daily moments add up — especially when they’re shared. Being part of a community, whether interest-based, place-based, or simply people showing up at the same time, can make the difference between coping alone and feeling quietly held. That sense of group — something we found invaluable in our own support circle — sits at the heart of Explore & Chill.
And personally, we’ve always found that stepping away completely — even briefly — can give a vital boost. That’s why Explore & Chill also includes the option of quiet, dark-sky retreats: simple places to rest, walk, look up, and let your nervous system settle in a way that’s hard to achieve at home.
We built this because the person in crisis often gets support — but the people supporting them usually don’t. This is a place for them
